Signature modes

Signature modes are modes that define the current set of loaded plugins. You can switch between modes in the Openplanet -> Signature Mode menu:

Available Modes

The available modes are generally:

• Official: This makes it so that Openplanet will only load plugins officially shipped with Openplanet; no user-created plugins will be loaded.
• Regular: This is the default signature mode Openplanet loads in, and will load all plugins officially shipped with Openplanet as well as any user-created signed plugins. This means plugins that are reviewed and approved by the Openplanet team following our plugin terms of service.
• School: This is the same as Regular mode, except you can also load user-created signed plugins designed for learning. It will disable leaderboards as well as online play on most maps. See also our documentation on School Mode.
• Developer: This loads all plugins, regardless of whether they are signed or not. This is what you would use to develop Openplanet plugins. Note that this will also enable School Mode: see our School mode for developers page for more information.

Competition Profiles

These are special dynamically defined modes, designed to be used during competitions. They will each have their own set of rules, and will be different from competition to competition. You may need to enable these if you want to play in certain competitions.
