Today, we are releasing the first public test version of Openplanet with School Mode in the edge testing branch. The plan is to publicly release it as 1.27.0 when the testing period has concluded.
School mode is a special mode that prevents you from playing online and submitting records to official leaderboards (with a few exceptions, see the list of whitelisted maps on the trusted developer page). This allows you to use certain plugins that are made specifically for this mode.
- This is early public testing. We will not be approving school mode plugins just yet until we are reasonably confident that the system is mostly functional. (We may even wait with approving school mode plugins until 1.27.0 is out, so we can slowly start to disable old Openplanet versions.)
