The main settings screen. This is where you add new buttons and change the settings of them. To add a button Press the Green "+" button. Message preview to easily create formatted messages.

Custom Chat Buttons

Overview

The Custom Chat Buttons Plugin allows you to create customizable buttons. This buttons let you spend more time driving by giving you quick access to frequently used commands and chats.

Installation

Plugin Manager:

  1. Search for plugin in Plugin Manager.
  2. Click install plugin.
  3. Access the plugin menu via the openplanet F3 settngs menu.

Manual Install:

  1. Download the plugin from the Openplanet plugin page.
  2. Place the plugin file in the Openplanet plugins directory. (usually "C:\Users\<user>\OpenplanetNext\Plugins")
  3. Restart Openplanet to load the new plugin.
  4. Access the plugin menu via the openplanet F3 settngs menu.

Usage

  1. Open the "Custom Chat Buttons" Plugin Section under Utilites from the Openplanet F3 settings menu.
  2. Click on "+" Button to create a new macro button.
  3. Configure the button by:
  • Setting the location and size by using the sliders or the pixel adjustment buttons.
  • Setting the colors for the button by clicking the color next to each related item or typing a value into each "RGB" box.
  • Setting the text on the button in the "Text Label" box.
  • Setting the message or command to send in the "Macro Text" box.
  1. Close the settings window and start using your new buttons in game!

Button's position can be moved in game by dragging the button with the right mouse button.

If you press a button and a message is not sent, check the Openplanet Log under the F3 main menu to see if an incorrect command was sent.

Available Commands

Command Description
/bronze Tell the Map Bronze Time to the room.
/silver Tell the Map Silver Time to the room.
/gold Tell the Map Gold Time to the room.
/at Tell the Map Author Time to the room.
/wr Tell the Map World Record to the room.
/pb Tell your Map Personal Best to the room.
/roll Roll a number between 1 and the number following the command. (/roll 34 -> 1-34)
/timeutc Tell the time in UTC time zone to the room.
/timezone Tell the time in a time zone to the room. (Check Timezone Tab for more info!)
/time Tell your local time to the room.
/mapid Tell the Map ID to the room.
/mapname Tell the Map Name to the room.
/mapauthor Tell the Map Author to the room.
/map Tell the Map Name and ID to the room.
/tmio Tell the Map TMIO link to the room.
/restart Request to restart the current map.
/next Request to skip to the next map.
/vote_yes Vote yes for the current map control action.
/vote_no Vote no for the current map control action.

Bug Fix:

  • Fixed /pb command message to say "No Medal" instead of "No Finish" when you have a time set but no medal yet.

  • Fixed button loading to correctly load saved positions on launch. (NO MORE BUTTONS IN TOP LEFT ON LAUNCH!)
