About the plugin

If you already are a stretched resolution player or wanted to give it a try, this plugin is made for you. It allows you to keep the monitors resolution untouched, meaning you don't have to mess with your monitors settings to apply the stretch resolution. The plugin in it's settings window (Openplanet -> Settings -> Utilities -> Stretch++) allows you to choose an aspect ratio that you want to apply (entering a resolution also works).

The 16:9 emulation setting

If you are on a 16:9 monitor and resolution, this setting won't do anything, otherwise it might be quite useful. It allows to emulate how the aspect ratio or resolution you chose would look on a 16:9 screen. So when the setting is on and the aspect ratio is set to 16:9 it will look the same as it always does on any monitor size, while changing it will apply the same amount of stretch it would to 16:9 instead of applying directly to your monitors resolution, you could say it's like dynamic scaling.

How is this better than running actual stretch resolution?

• The game stays at the native monitors resolution which means the game looks a lot clearer (can be useful for content creators)
• No delay when tabbing in or out of the game, because the monitor doesn't have to switch resolutions
